Hi there,
I hope you enjoy your nails much as I enjoyed making them!
So here’s how to install
Read all the way through before starting!
Preparation
Make sure natural nails are free of any nail polish, gel, acrylic, etc…Wash your hands and dry them thoroughly.
- On a clean surface, lay out all of the tools from the prep kit. Take out your falsies from the package and lay them out in order of your sizes.
- If you will be doing a Long Term Wear install, prepare a small piece of paper towel to wipe off excess glue during the gluing process. You will also need some scissors to clip the tip of the tube of glue.
- Cut your nails down to a comfortable length if you haven’t done so.
- Use a nail file to file your nails especially the sides to make sure no extra nail is showing from under the falsies.
- Using the wooden cuticle pusher, push back your cuticles. (If you have a cuticle nipper you can use that to do any extra clean up. You can also use the nail file to buff off any dead skin in your nail beds.)
- Use the buffing block, buff your natural nails and give them some texture and remove shine. Get the sides of your nails too. This is to help the glue or sticky tabs hold better.
- You will see that the falsies come pre-buffed in the underside but you can also use the buffing block to buff them a little bit more if you would like.
- Use one alcohol pad to lightly wipe off excess dust from your natural nails. Use one wipe per install. Do not wipe the underside of the pre-buffed falsies.
Long Term Wear/ With Nail Glue
Tips: Make sure you can give your hands a few hours before putting them under water again so the nail glue can dry properly. For maximum dry time, install before going to bed.
- Grab your glue. Clip the tip using the scissors. Now start gluing the falsies on in whichever order you’re comfortable. I like to go from my left pinky to my right pinky.
- Start with a small drop of glue on the underside of the false nail. Spread it around. Add a small drop on your natural nail and spread it around. You do not have to cover your whole natural nail.
- Place the falsie right up against your cuticle. Lay down the falsie from cuticle to nail tip. Once the falsie is all the way down, press down at the top and on the sides, alternate until you feel like the glue is dry. You can also blow on your hand lightly to help it dry.
- Use your piece of paper towel to keep your fingers clean. Wipe away from the false nail if there’s any excess glue coming out for the the sides.
- Repeat Steps 2-5 for the remaining fingers.
Save the rest your tools for your next set.
Short Term Wear/ With Sticky Tabs
Tips: Avoid having nails under water for more than 2-3 mins. Avoid water with extreme temperatures (extremely hot or extremely cold).
- Decide which nail you will to start with.
- Hold the sheet of sticky tabs over that nail to figure out the appropriate sticky tab size for the nail.
- Peal off the the sticky tab from the sheet using the tiny flap.
- Place the sticky in the falsie, lining the curved side of the sticky tab with the curved side of the falsie, and press down to remove all air bubbles.
- Remove the flap and place the falsie on your natural nail going from cuticle to nail tip. Press down for 15-20 seconds.
- Repeat Steps 2-5 for the remaining fingers.
